The e-Submission of Employment Income is a web-based e-Service hosted by IRAS for employers to submit information in Form IR8A, IR8S, Appendix 8A and Appendix 8B electronically to IRAS.
You can authorise staff or third parties to send in the employees’ employment income details on your behalf through e-Services Authorisation System (EASY). After authorisation has been given, access the e-Submission of Employment Income via myTax Portal.
How do I use e-Submission of Employment Income Application?
You can transmit the employees’ employment income information to IRAS directly by making use of any of the following modes of preparation for transmission.
There are 3 modes of preparation in e-Submission of Employment Income:

Employers who maintain manual payroll system or payroll in excel spreadsheet. |
Employers can download this application, enter the employees’ details or copy/ import the employment income details from their existing excel spreadsheet onto the template and save the information. The system will generate the file in XML format.
Employers can then upload the file to IRAS via the e-Submission of Employment Income application.

Employers who use payroll software to prepare employment income that conforms to the specifications defined by IRAS.

This feature validates the file format and data generated by your system. Invalid data will be flagged out for your rectification before transmitting to IRAS.
The file can be an XML file or a TXT file that conforms to the specifications defined by IRAS.

You can use any of the modes for the transmission, according to your business needs.
How do I access the e-Submission of Employment Income?
To access the e-Submission of Employment Income, you will have to authorise your staff or third parties via EASY.
To authorise staff or third parties:
- Login to e-Services Authorisation System (EASY) with the company’s access code, company’s tax reference number, your tax reference number and your SingPass/ IRAS PIN
- Authorise the staff or third parties to act on your organisation’s behalf
- The authorised personnel will login to myTax Portal using their own SingPass/ IRAS PIN to transmit the employment income information to IRAS
How to apply for the access code?
- Download the Access Code Application Form (58KB)
- Follow the instructions in the form, and send the completed form to IRAS
- Note that the form has to be filled up and signed by a person who holds the position of a Manager or higher
- The access code will be mailed to your registered address within 4 working days from the receipt of the application form
What do I have to do after I have been authorised?
If you have been authorised by your company to access e-Submission of Employment Income, you can proceed to login to myTax Portal during the filing period to submit the employment income information.

Does IRAS conduct seminars for employers?
We conduct seminars to encourage employers to participate in the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) for Employment Income as well as to use the e-Submission of Employment Income.

Does IRAS conduct hands-on workshops?
Yes. To help employers use the e-Submission of Employment Income application, we conduct hands-on workshops to guide employers on the use of various e-Submission applications.

How do I register for the workshop?
- Download and fill in the workshop registration form (79KB).
- Fax the reply slip to 6351 3302.
- The registration form must be submitted at least 5 days before the workshop (subject to availability and on a first-come-first-served basis)
What do I do after successful transmission during live transmission of salary information?
Upon successful transmission, please print the acknowledgement page shown in the myTax Portal for your reference.
