We refer to the letter “Query on tax relief for foreigners” (10 Apr) by Mr Ivan Goh.

The Qualifying Child Relief (QCR) is a broad-based relief given to all tax residents for income tax purposes.

For parents of Singaporean children, there are additional measures such as Working Mother’s Child Relief (WMCR), Parenthood Tax Rebate (PTR), Baby Bonus and child care subsidies which are given to encourage parenthood and support family formation.
