We refer to the letter ‘追讨多付税款无回应’ published in Lianhe Zaobao on 13 Feb 2019.

Upon receiving a tax query, IRAS will give an acknowledgement immediately and endeavour to reply simpler queries within 5 working days. However, for complex queries, we will require more time to review and process the case.

Mr Ang’s query was a complex one as it involved several years of tax assessment. We have since contacted him, and appreciate his understanding for the wait.
